The Shortened Story

ABOUT US

After experimenting in hobby-farming for seven years, our family decided to join forces with our urban-farming kin and invest in a beautiful, historical farm nestled among the  hills of Northern Michigan.

Multiple generations now grow & learn here.

In the 40's this farm grew A LOT of strawberries & did well in providing an outlet for prison labor. Infact the one room tiny home where the laborer's lived still resides on the property!

Later in the 70's, cattle & hay were the primary land rovers. Early 2000's saw a steady rotation of corn & soy.

Fast forward to today & we farmers have a vision of food forests,  a multi-species-low-impact livestock rotation

&  nutritious, sustainable, wholesome diversity that will feed the community.

 We prayed over how to serve here.

Take a scroll through our                                             page & see how God provides for His children.

As for the "business" side,  feeding our neighbors & cultivating a safe atmosphere for folks to feel peace is our new "hobby".

Stay tuned as we grow! We're always up to something new!

Mission

In our experience farmers are generally motivated by the community around them. In that regard we are no different.

We aim to influence, educate, & provide for our community with the skills & resources the good Lord gave us.

All while implementing restorative practices into our soil, forests, & herds.

Our eyes are ever on the future generations.

Will they have sustainable and healthy food options?

Will they have untouched forests, rolling grasslands?

Chemical free, nutrient dense fruit & veg to fill their bellies, make them strong, guard their minds?

This is why we encourage everyone to

PLANT FOR THE FUTURE.

A Psalm for giving thanks.

 Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth!
     Serve the Lord with gladness!
   Come into his presence with singing!

Know that the Lord, he is God!
   It is he who made us, and we are his;
  we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

 Enter his gates with thanksgiving,
   and his courts with praise!
   Give thanks to him; bless his name!

 For the Lord is good;
   his steadfast love endures forever,
   and his faithfulness to all
 generations.
